Mind Flex

.

Mind Flex - by Mattel , you control the action through hand, eye, and mind coordination.
The game features an obstacle course that you will use your brainwave activity to control. The game relies on NeuroSky's Technology and sensors that reside in the headset apparatus.
.
One sensor is in the headset itself, against your forehead; two more clip onto your earlobes. The sensors measure theta-wave activity in your brain ; the waves are directly related to your level of focus and concentration. The sensors register the theta-wave activity, translate that activity into a signal, and transmit it as a radio frequency to the Mind Flex.
.
The more theta-wave activity there is, the faster the little fan in the unit will spin. The speed the fan spins at, and therefore moves the ball, is based on how hard you concentrate. The faster the fan spins, the higher the ball goes along the Z axis. Turn a dial and move the ball along the X and Y axis.

What are you missing ?

>

.
A MAN sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning. He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work. Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed his pace and stopped for a few seconds and then hurried up to meet his schedule. A minute later, the violinist received his first dollar tip: a woman threw the money in the till and continued to walk. A few minutes later, someone leaned against the wall to listen to him, but the man looked at his watch and started to walk again. Clearly he was late for work. The one who paid the most attention was a three-year-old boy. His mother tagged him along, but the kid stopped to look at the violinist. Finally the mother pushed hard and the child continued to walk, turning his head all the time. This action was repeated by several other children. All the parents, without exception, forced them to move on.In the 45 minutes the musician played, only six people stopped and stayed for a while. About 20 gave him money but continued to walk at their normal pace. He collected US$32 (RM112). When he finished playing and silence took over, no one noticed it. No one applauded, nor was there any recognition.

No one knew this but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. He played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth US$3.5mil RM12.25mil). Two days before his playing in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out at a theatre in Boston and the seats average US$100 (RM350).
.
This is a real story. Joshua Bell playing incognito in the metro station was organised by the Washington Post as part of an social experiment about perception, taste and priorities of people. The outlines were: in a common place environment at an inappropriate hour : Do we perceive beauty? Do we stop to appreciate it? Do we recognise the talent in an unexpected context? One of the possible conclusions from this experience could be:
If we do not have a moment to stop and listen to one of the best musicians in the world playing the best music ever written, how many other things are we missing?

Mouse - 40th Birthday

.
M.O.U.S.E

.

The computer mouse was the creation of Doug Engelbart and his team at the Stanford Research Institute in California, who needed a simple way of controlling their computers. The result was a carved wooden block mounted on wheels, with a long cable trailing out the back. One researcher nicknamed it a mouse, and the moniker stuck.
.
.
The mouse made its debut at a presentation in San Francisco in 1968 to show off a working network computer system. The mouse was developed by Xerox during the 1970s, and the first commercial product was released in 1981 with the launch of the Xerox Star computer system.

Mirror ... Mirror On The Wall

.
360 degree mirror
.

The gadget is made up of seven individual mirrored panels that wrap right around the body giving a perfect view. One main mirror is fixed to the wall and the others are attached to two extendable arms on either side. Each of the six inch arms have a concertina mechanism which helps them to bend around the person who stands in the middle. When the arms are opened out, the seven panels, which are four inches high, display every single angle of their head - including the very back. It means that its user can use both hands to style their hair while still being able to see how it looks all the way around. The mirror can them be folded back up like an accordion and into the main panel for storage. The 360 Mirror lights up and can be screwed to the wall or stuck on bathroom tiles with suction pads. It can be bought for RM 90 , distributing by Old Fashioned Values, based in Kansas City, US.
